'DotA 2 Dark Rift' release date 2016 arrives: Final 'Defense of the Ancients' character, more detailed post-game summary added
The long-awaited "DotA 2: Dark Rift" has arrived and with it comes the final hero straight from the original 2003 "Defense of the Ancients" game.
First announced at the recent International 6 held in Seattle, the "DotA 2: Dark Rift" update bears the official addition of Vrogros the Underlord, a durable disabler, nuker and support who will be excellent in defense. The Underlord possesses the power of Dark Rift, which can teleport his team across the map, playing by the element of surprise. Thanks to the "DotA 2: Dark Rift" update, players can rely on the character in reducing the damage of his opponents.
The official description for Underlord reads:
Conjure waves of abyssal flame to immolate enemies held paralyzed in your spiteful grip. Feast upon the carnage of battle, gaining strength as foes perish around you, their attacks diminished by your very presence. Tear a rift in reality to teleport yourself and your teammates across the map, delivering bloody retribution to any who would defy the will of Vrogros the Underlord.
The "DotA 2: Dark Rift" update also came with new stat systems in the form of an all-new post-game summary, which was tweaked to further help players analyze their performance after a game.
The post-game summary provides detailed reports on various aspects of the performance of a "DotA" player and a team in the progression of each match. Through this, players will get to learn win-loss statistics for the matches they participated in with the people they played with, allowing them to gauge these players' skills and compare their stats to them as well.
This "DotA 2: Dark Rift" tweak will make it easy for players to find people they can have on their team. Stats can also be compared to the opposing team as well as the overall average for a specific hero. Additionally, the post-game summary in this "DotA 2: Dark Rift" update now displays the Net Worth and XP Advantage graphs after a match. In short, analyses and comparisons will definitely be much easier now.
