'Dragon Age: Inquisition' DLC Release Date Latest News: Players Get Two Free DLC Items This Week
Good news for fans of "Dragon Age: Inquisition." Game developer BioWare and parent company Electronic Arts have announced that two free items of the game's downloadable content, or DLC, would be released this week, specifically on Tuesday, May 5.
This followed an announcement that the game's "Jaws of Hakkon" expansion pack would soon be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 after it was exclusively released on the Xbox One last March.
The first of the two free items is titled The Black Emporium , a "Dragon Age" shopping arena where players can pick up several new weapons. They can also accessorize to their heart's content and even check out what crafting materials and other items are being offered on sale by Xenon, the Antiquarian.
Also included in The Black Emporium is the Mirror of Transformation, which players can use to change the appearance of their characters. This is extremely useful if gamers have grown tired of characters they have created and want them to appear different. Using the Mirror of Transformation, modifying pre-existing characters is now easy and players can literally try out any combination until they find the one they like best.
There are also two new thrones of Skyhold being offered in this portion of the DLC. One is the Legacy Ferelden throne and the other, the Legacy Kirkwall throne. But these will only be available to those who have played "Dragon Age: Origins," with their Origin account, or "Dragon Age II."
The second DLC item is the Dragonslayer, a multiplayer expansion function that brings three new characters. They are Isabela, who appeared as a pirate queen in "Dragon Age II," an Avvar warrior named Skywatcher, and finally Zither, who is a musician. This DLC item also allows players to create an item dubbed the Dragon's Call, which is useful in summoning and battling giant dragons. There is also a new area called Ferelden castle.
