'Dragon Ball Super' episode 56 spoilers, release date news 2016: Super Saiyan Rose introduced in new teaser
Just as alleged leaks earlier this month claimed, a pink-haired Super Saiyan is indeed appearing in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 56, the next chapter of the popular anime series.
Earlier this month, Kotaku reported on rumors that Goku Black will undergo a major transformation in an upcoming episode of the anime, becoming what English-speakers have taken to calling "Super Saiyan Pink." Nonetheless, a Japanese TV anime listing later emerged in which the character was called "Super Saiyan Rose."
In his Super Saiyan Rose form, Goku Black has pink hair with white highlights, light pink eyebrows, and pinkish eyes. His aura glows reddish purple, and his clothes have a purple and pink hue. Pink particles and purple mini-bolts of electricity surround the character.
While Super Saiyan Rose's existence was leaked before its official announcement, fans of "Dragon Ball Super" now have confirmation that the form will appear in the anime's next episode. In the official teaser for episode 56, the on-screen text reads "Black Goku Rematch! Super Saiyan Rose Appears!"
And it looks like it will be Super Saiyan Rose versus Super Saiyan Blue in episode 56.
In the trailer, Goku Black is seen being attacked by Vegeta in his Super Saiyan Blue form. The latter taunts the former, telling him to show his full power. The short clip then shows the upcoming battle between Goku Black, Vegeta, and Son Goku in the destroyed city.
Meanwhile, in the "Dragon Ball Super" episode 56 extended trailer posted on the Fuji TV official website, Trunks is seen looking at Mai's cap — her body is not on the scene — and seemingly giving fans hope that his girlfriend is still alive.
In another scene, Goku Black attacks a group and Mai is seen with Trunks. It can only be assumed that the couple will be reuniting in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 56.
"Hey, this is Goku! Trunks, there's tons of people here who believe in you! We'll cut loose too! Hey, Black! You won't get away with smashing the world like this! I'm going at you with my full power! So, you'd better show your full power too! Next time on Dragon Ball Super: 'Rematch with Black! Introducing Super Saiyan Rose.' Don't miss it," the synopsis for the episode, as translated by Kanzenshuu's Herms98, reads.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 56 is set to air on Sunday, Aug. 28, at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV and online.
