'Dragon Ball Super' episodes 67, 68 spoilers: Son Goku to revive King Kai; more filler episodes coming in December
Now that the immortal Zamasu is gone and Future Trunks has said his goodbyes, what's next for the Japanese anime series "Dragon Ball Super"? It doesn't take Son Goku very long to figure out what he wants to do next as he goes on a quest to bring King Kai back to life.
The North Kai was Son Goku's martial arts teacher who also served as his mentor and ally on many occasions. Since he made a promise to revive his former master, he goes off to gather the dragon balls for this purpose. But he soon realizes that he's not the only one with a wish to make. Everybody has something they want to ask for, with intentions ranging from the noble to the materialistic. Whose wish will ultimately be granted? Will Goku even succeed in fulfilling his promise to King Kai?
Episode 68 titled "Come Forth, Shenron! Whose wish wil be granted?!" is panning out to be just one of the fun and lighthearted fillers that fans of the show are expecting in the next few weeks. This is leading up to the rumored "Omniverse Tournament" storyline that was previously foreshadowed by the King of all gods himself, Zen-Oh.
Since the previous episode finally concluded the "Future Trunks" arc, speculations about what's coming next are already making rounds. Foremost among these is the potential appearance of Gohan's Mystic form.
Gohan's appearance during Trunks' departure in episode 67 fueled this speculation since he bore more than a passing similarity with his Mystic form that was shown in "Dragon Ball Z." And since he came with Piccolo, fans took this as a hint that Gohan may have been training with his old master in order to gain back his strength. Will the upcoming arc finally see Gohan back in the battlefield in his Mystic form? Fans are eager to see him join the Omniverse Tournament, if and when it does happen.
"Dragon Ball Super episode 68 airs on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV.
Meanwhile, Twitter user Herms98 shared an image of a magazine page showing the titles for the upcoming filler episodes and their scheduled air dates. The titles give a hint at what each episode will be about.
