'Dragon Ball Super' episodes 70, 71 spoilers: Upcoming Goku-Hit rematch to lead to the Saiyan's imminent death?

Goku is no amateur when it comes to dying. The main protagonist of "Dragon Ball Super" has died at least twice in the entire duration of the Japanese anime franchise. Will his rumored death in the upcoming episode be his last?

In the previously concluded episode 70, wherein Universe 6 and Universe 7 played a friendly game of baseball, Goku casually asked why Hit was not in Universe 6's team. Champa, the God of Destruction of Universe 6, and the one who issued the challenge, said that getting in touch with Hit was not easy.

However, somebody else has, apparently, made contact with the legendary assassin of Universe 6, and in the upcoming episode 71 titled, "The Death of Goku! The Guaranteed Assassination Mission," Hit will be setting out to fulfill a client request to kill Goku for yet undisclosed reasons. Who could this client be and what beef does he have with Universe 7's Super Saiyan?

The episode preview features a failed attempt at ending Goku's life, and his two sons tailing him as bodyguards while he goes around running his errands. However, as shown in the preview, taking Goku's life is not an easy task, unless one sends someone who can fight the Saiyan on equal footing. And who better to put on the task than Hit the Infallible?

As part of Champa's team during the Universe 6 tournament, he was said to be the strongest member, and was indeed able to hold his own against Goku, despite the fact that he was forced to hold his full potentials back, because killing was forbidden during the tournament.

Now that there are no more rules to hold him back, fans are speculating that the upcoming no-holds-barred rematch between Hit and Goku will be a more exciting one. However, whether or not the Saiyan dies is something that's still up in the air.

Subsequently, episode 72 titled "Counterattack?! An Unforeseen Assassination Technique!!" is expected to continue the battle that begins in episode 71. Does this also mean that Goku may not die in this week's episode? Or will Gohan and Goten be the ones seeking revenge on their father's would-be killer? Will they find out who ordered the hit, and when they do, what will they do about him?
