'Dragon Ball Super' episodes 76, 77 spoilers: Vegeta is stuck at home as All-Universe Tournament begins
From one doting father's reawakened fighting spirit to another, "Dragon Ball Super" sure is setting up Goku's team with the best of what Universe 7 has to offer. Now that the next episode is about to officially kick off the highly anticipated All-Universe Tournament, who else is signing up for the team? Or worse, who is about to miss out?
After the last few episodes successfully reminded both the scholarly Gohan and the cautious police officer Krillin about the joys and benefits of fighting, it seems that the most likely candidate to join Goku's crew might back down. The trailer for the upcoming episode hints at an unexpected turn of events that keeps Vegeta stuck at home with spousal duties. As fighters far and wide gather for the forthcoming Martial Arts Tournament, the Saiyan Prince is left to deal with his wife's growing belly. Vegeta and Bulma are about to have another child!
However, Vegeta's refusal to leave home, albeit not entirely of his own will, does nothing to quell Goku's restlessness. If anything, the glaring shortage of sparring partners only serves to remind Goku of the talk he once had with the Omni-King Zen-Oh about possibly setting up a tournament that encompasses all existing universes.
Titled "Let's Do It, Zen-Oh Sama! The All-Universe Martial Arts Tournament!!" the episode will bring Goku face to face with Zen-Oh and Future Zen-Oh to remind the Omni-Kings of their previous talk, which eventually leads to the beginning of the "Tournament of Power" between universes.
But it seems that Whis and Universe 7's God of Destruction Beerus, are not too keen about the said tournament. Additionally, this may have something to do with the destructive consequences of losing the battle. What price awaits the victorious Universe, and what punishment is there for the ones that will lose? Could this really be the beginning of universal destruction? Also, with a new baby on the way, will Vegeta be able to participate in the forthcoming chaos?
"Dragon Ball Super" officially jumpstarts the "Universe Survival" arc on Sunday, Feb. 5, at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV.
