Organizers behind the recently-released "Duck Dynasty" musical announced this week that the "Duck Dynasty" show will be closing early in Las Vegas, Nevada due to poor ticket sales.

The musical, entitled "The Duck Commander Musical: How Faith, Family and Ducks Built A Dynasty," will be closing at the popular entertainment destination just one month after opening at the Crown Theater at Las Vegas' Rio All-Suite Hotel.

Representatives for the production group behind the musical told Playbill this week that although the musical will be closing at its Las Vegas location, it may move on to tour multiple U.S. cities in the future.

"The production is thrilled to have had the opportunity to develop the Duck Commander Musical at the Rio. Much has been learned from this limited engagement, and from the great support from everyone who has come to see this first staging of this completely new musical," the statement said.

"Duck Commander will now consider several possible opportunities for the next stage in the life of the show, including extended sit-down engagements in interested cities, as well as a national tour," the statement added.

The musical, which opened at the Rio All-Suite Hotel on April 15, was originally supposed to continue through the end of June.

Willie Robertson, one of the members of the "Duck Dynasty" family, previously told Fox411 that viewing the musical made him feel emotional, and even cry at times.

"It's emotional at times," Willie told Fox 411 back in April when he visited the set of the musical.

"I was crying watching it because you just think about if something were to happen differently, then none of this would have happened," he added.
