Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson offers to be Donald Trump's spiritual adviser?

Reality TV star Phil Robertson said that he is now on the Trump Train and he would do anything to help presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, even help him learn to be a Christian.

"I'll make a valiant attempt behind the scenes, you understand, to sit down with Donald with a Bible in between us, and I might can help him along with concepts like loving your enemies, loving your god, loving your neighbor," Robertson said in an interview on "Fox and Friends" on Wednesday. "Even your enemies, forgive them and move on. I may can help him in that area. I can see it now, Trump wins and the camera's panning and his spiritual adviser is me."

The "Duck Dynasty" patriarch was in Cannes, France promoting "Torchbearer," a new documentary that tackles topics from mass murders in history to singer Miley Cyrus. It centers on man moving away from God, living in a society of moral decay, decadence, and political anarchy.

He said earlier in an earlier interview with The Hollywood Reporter that looking back in history, the end result is always carnage and murder when God and the Bible are removed, when truth is suppressed, and when one lets "men and women to determine right and wrong." He explained that the founding fathers, who were godly men, said that once religion goes, so does morality and freedom.

On "Fox and Friends," he said that it is in religion and morality that freedom can securely stand, and man must let God be their anchor.

When asked why Cyrus was included in the documentary, he told THR, "If you don't see the decadence around you, dude, promoted by Miley Cyrus and others in Hollywood, then I don't know what to tell you. If you got an argument in favor of decadence, then give it to me."

Robertson had campaigned for presidential hopeful Ted Cruz before, but the senator had already stepped down from the race. He supports the Republican party, and while he said that Hillary Clinton has already proven herself in the political arena and Trump has not, he still supports the latter.

"Torchbearer" will be released in July.
