Fans of Eminem are still anticipating the release of his new album which made news several years back, but until now it is yet to see the light of day. There are rumors that the rapper is currently going through a financial crisis, causing the delay.

Aside from his own album, there were reports earlier this year that Eminem was collaborating on another album with 50 Cent, which would be called "Champions." However, there has been no recent news regarding the development of said album.

Both albums' delay has caused fans to assume that perhaps, the rumors that Eminem has gone bankrupt are true. Are they?

Back in June, Eminem had an interview with CBS Detroit where he gamely spoke about his new business venture, which is a partnership with StockX, an online trading store based in Detroit. The store offers Eminem's sneakers collection.

"Sneakers have always been a huge interest of mine, for at least as long as I've been rapping, and I'm proud of the fact that I've had so many collaborations with Nike and Jordan Brand. I really like the fact that sneakers are a big part of what StockX is doing. When I found out that they happen to be doing it from downtown Detroit, it made even more sense to get involved," said the rapper.

His involvement with the business might be the reason why he has pushed the production of a new album in the backburner and not his purported bankruptcy. FX News Call reported, based on figures from Celebrity Net Worth, that Eminem, a.k.a. Marshall Mathers has a net worth of $190 million!

There is no denying the fact that Eminem is one of the most iconic rappers of this generation. The name he has made for himself over the years has caused his net worth to grow to its current size, and producing an album would only make a tiny dent in that amount.

It really looks like Eminem's focus as of the moment is not on producing albums but on his new business, so that means his fans would have to be more patient as they wait for the follow-up to "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" that was released in 2013.
