Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield News: Actress Attends Golden Globes Without Boyfriend
Emma Stone attended the just concluded 72nd Annual Golden Globe Award ceremony without her beau Andrew Garfield. As soon as she set foot on the red carpet, the Internet blew up with speculation as Garfield was nowhere to be seen.
Emma was accompanied instead by her brother Spencer Stone. Garfield's absence was noted when Emma introduced her brother to Ryan Seacrest who was hosting "Live from the Red Carpet."
Fans promptly voiced their disappointment on Twitter. They had been hoping that the pair who plays a couple on screen in the rebooted Spider Man film franchise would grace the red carpet together. However, it seemed that Garfield was busy shooting a film and also had two films in pre-production and could not make it. Emma was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture category for her performance in the film "Birdman."
Emma joked about her play "Cabaret," which is currently on Broadway, saying it was cancelled as she and co-star Alan Cumming were at the Golden Globe Awards.
As for Garfield and Emma, their relationship appears to be going strong. They were last seen casually strolling through New York's West Village last week as they made their way to a restaurant for brunch. Even when a fan spotted them in a restaurant and tried to snap a photo of them, the couple was not offended and ended up photo bombing the snap.
Recently several gossip websites noted that Emma was wearing what appeared to be a simple engagement ring when she landed at Los Angeles airport on Saturday.
The notoriously private couple has not issued any statement about their relationship and has been trying to avoid the paparazzi every time they step out.
