'Empire' season 3 episode 6 spoilers: Empire gets hacked; Lucious tries to drive Cookie and Angelo apart
Empire gets hacked in the upcoming episode of Fox's musical drama "Empire" season 3.
Titled "Chimes at Midnight," the sixth episode of "Empire" will see a major hacking that eventually leads to a bigger issue. According to the official synopsis, the massive hacking creates conflict among the artists and the Lyon family after confidential information gets leaked. While everyone in the company deals with the hacking problem, the Lyon family's eldest son Andre (Trai Byers) will step up and seize the opportunity to prove his worth. It remains to be seen how Andre will help the company, but he will certainly resort to extreme measures to get his power back again.
Meanwhile, Lucious (Terrence Howard) still can't get over the idea that his ex-wife Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) now has a new man in her life. Looking at how things are going well for Cookie and Angelo (Taye Diggs), the music mogul starts feeling some jealousy and tries to drive a wedge between the pair. Viewers will also see how far Lucious is willing to go just to get Cookie back. This won't be the only romantic storyline that will be featured in the episode, as the Lyons' middle child Jamal (Jussie Smollett) will also find himself tangled up in a very complicated love triangle.
Since Jamal was a young boy, he has always had a complicated relationship with his father. Although some fans might think that it's just the sexuality issue, Smollett believes it goes far beyond that. "I don't think, at this point, really it's not necessarily about Jamal's sexuality," the actor told TV Guide. "It's not to say that Lucious is the supportive father and is going to be on the marches and the front lines of parents of LGBTQ people, but I also think that they just have a problem with each other because more than anybody, they're most alike. You know what I'm saying? That is the issue."
