'Fallout 4: Nuka World' DLC release date: DLC out Aug. 30; new trailer offers a look at 'America's favorite vacation destination'
The "Fallout 4: Nuka World" downloadable content (DLC) will be released on Aug. 30. Bethesda Softworks made the announcement with a trailer showing off the spine-chilling wonders and attractions of "America's favorite vacation destination."
The Disneyland-inspired clip shows various kinds of theme park horrors from ramshackle rides (there was even a skeleton aboard the decrepit rollercoaster) to monsters, zombies, and aliens that are the stuff of nightmares.
The showcase of the horrendous makings of the Nuka World is accompanied by a tune a bit too festive for the state of the place, which ups the creepy vibe of the "Fallout 4: Nuka World" DLC.
The trailer for the final "Fallout 4" expansion pack also previews the kinds of power armor, workshop options, and Raider gear players can enjoy in the post-apocalyptic amusement park.
An interesting and rather odd item shown in the "Fallout 4: Nuka World" DLC trailer is an Electrified Paddle Ball-type weapon that can be utilized against enemies. Using bare hands to tackle what look like giant ants appears to be possible in Nuka World too, and so is hitting the zombies with the rides.
The "Fallout 4: Nuka World" DLC is set in the carnival of its namesake where ruthless Raiders came to conquer and thrive. It will come with multiple park zones — namely Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom, and the Galactic Zone — all of which are previewed in the trailer as well.
The "Fallout 4: Nuka World" DLC trailer also advertises The World of Refreshment, a Raider-filled area, as the "most wonderful place" and the Nuka Town promising to "put a smile on your face."
The description for the DLC reads: "Lead lethal gangs of Raiders and use them to conquer settlements, bending the Commonwealth to your will. Nuka-World features new quests, Raiders, weapons, creatures, and more. Enjoy the ride!"
Before the trailer was dropped, GamingBolt revealed that the "Fallout 4: Nuka World" DLC will be 3.66 GB in size, far bigger than "Far Harbor," which is only 2.7 GB.
