The update 1.7 for the PlayStation 4 version of "Fallout 4" has been released by Bethesda Softworks, but the long-awaited mods are still nowhere in sight.

The update, which was released on the Xbox One and personal computer (PC) last week, fixes some bugs and gets the game ready for the "Nuka World" downloadable content (DLC) arriving Aug. 30.

It also added a new store art type for Workshop settlements as well as other important tweaks on "Fallout 4" gameplay. Also, thanks to the update, players can now delete add-ons without having to uninstall.

The arrival of update 1.7 once again had many PS4 players asking when it will be the turn for the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods to come out. However, Bethesda vice president Pete Hines provided the same answer he has been giving in the past weeks.

"Until evaluation is done there is no way to give a date. We don't have a date when eval will be done," he said in reply to a fan who accused Bethesda of "ignoring" PS4 players.

Hines hinted in his tweets from the previous weeks and last month that like fans, Bethesda itself is in the dark on the evaluation process and has been receiving no updates about it.

The "Fallout 4" PS4 mods were supposed to be released by the end of June. The delay was caused by performance issues as well as problems with the sound support and upload limit, which was only 900 MB, too little compared to the 2 GB on Xbox One.

It is now unknown if there will be a beta test for the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods as Bethesda promised. Hines himself is not even sure about it, but promises to relay information when he has them.

For now, all fans can do for now is hang around a bit longer as Bethesda itself awaits details about the evaluation on the PS4 mods.
