'Fallout Shelter' news 2016: Game gets biggest update and is now on PC
As one of the more popular free-to-play games in the iOS and Android OS, "Fallout Shelter" recently released their biggest update at the moment.
At version 1.6, GameSpot reported that there are some major features that will definitely excite users. The highlights so far are the quests and an updated combat system.
According to game developer Bethesda, the new quests in the game will give players even more control on their dwellers and will have new locations to explore. These locations are familiar to "Fallout 4" players such as Red Rocket Fuel Stop and Super Duper Mart.
"Players can assemble a group of dwellers to take on challenges outside of the Vault, uncover legendary loot, and face off against new enemies like Radscorpions, Ghouls, and powerful bosses," Bethesda stated.
They went on to describe how the change in the combat system affects the game, saying: "Overseers can use the new combat system to gain control over dwellers in a fight, allowing players to select opponents and direct attacks and even play a quick mini-game for a critical hit."
In the "Fallout Shelter" store, there are also new items available such as the "Starter Pack" which gives players the ability to jump-start a new vault.
However, there is still no price set at the moment.
Meanwhile, Bethesda revealed that the PC version of the game has also released, as reported by GameSpot. Available for Microsoft Windows users, "Fallout Shelter" will also have all the updates included from the iOS and Android versions.
GameSpot revealed in another report that "Fallout Shelter" has now reached great heights as they have 50 million players who registered. There is no specific information on how much the players have spent, but this is significantly great amount for a free game.
"Fallout Shelter" was released back in 2015, with the iOS version being released in June and the Android version coming out in August.
