'Final Fantasy 15' patch notes 1.03 update: New Game + revealed; Holiday Pack launches today

"Final Fantasy 15" patch notes 1.03 has just been released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (PS4). There were a few changes applied to the game, plus new perks added for the players' enjoyment. Players, however, would have to set aside 3.2 GB of free space to download the update.

The "Final Fantasy 15" update includes a new mode called New Game +, several bug fixes and some additional bonus offers. The full patch notes, unfortunately, have not been outed yet, but players are hoping that Square Enix will release them soon.

Players noticed that the recent update offers new photo frames, which can be used by Prompto as he captures all the necessary scenes from his journey. Attack of the Fanboy wrote that it will be more fun to see the players capturing the photos themselves.

Those who have currently played the New Game + mode would have to be contented with the fact that it does not have a new difficulty mode. This means they would have to choose between Easy and Normal playing options.

This is said to be a disappointment for the fans, especially those who have surpassed the Normal mode with ease. It is possible, though, that Square Enix may eventually roll out a Difficult mode when players begin to demand it.

In a NeoGAF post by player rayman1990 a few observed changes of the update were listed, including the carrying over of all magic and magic flasks, weapons, unlocked skills, all inventory, AP and Gils from AP, among others. Though it does not have an added difficulty level, the Regalia and Ultimate Blades will go back to their base status.

The update also includes the Holiday downloadable content (DLC) pack, which will be out today, Dec. 22.

"Final Fantasy 15" has more expansion to come in the next several weeks. The DLC carries a new mission and a lot more additions to the already exciting gameplay.
