The fans of the "Final Fantasy" game franchise were thrilled when Square Enix earlier revealed their plans to remake one of the most classic installments of the series, "Final Fantasy 7." Even though the game was released several years ago, it is a very memorable "Final Fantasy" installment and the benchmark of a high-quality gameplay for many. Since then, only a few details have been shared to the public, and there is still no confirmed release date for the remake.

However, rumors regarding the "Final Fantasy 7" remake have kept on circulating on the internet, with some fans predicting that the remake title might be released by Square Enix sooner than expected. Although, according to the latest reports, the game is not expected to appear anytime soon or by the end of 2016. It is more likely that the remake will be released starting next year.

Square Enix once mentioned that they are considering having an episodic style of release for the "Final Fantasy 7" remake. Instead of being a single game upon its release, the remake may adapt a three-part release similar to other titles such as "Final Fantasy XIII." Game producer Yoshinori Kitase said in an interview with Game Informer that they are planning to divide the remake into three parts, although each episode will stand on its own and will not appear as continuation of the other. With this, Game N Guide reported that the first part of the multi-episodes will be out in the early months of 2017, or possibly by March.

It was also mentioned that by the time of the "Final Fantasy 7" remake's release, Square Enix may develop a new version for Sony's latest PlayStation 4 Pro console. As Square Enix has not yet revealed much details regarding the game for the past few months, it is best to wait for their official announcement and take the rumors with a grain of salt. According to The Bitbag, it is likely that the Japanese game studio will share some info at the upcoming PlayStation Experience 2016 this December, and fans may want to tune it to the event to verify the details.
