'Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius' latest news, update: Ariana Grande to appear in 'Final Fantasy' mobile game
Pop sensation Ariana Grande will be making a guest appearance in Square Enix's free-to-play "Final Fantasy" mobile game titled "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius."
The pop singer shared the news with her fans through her Instagram account, posting a photo which featured Grande in a meeting with a number of suited-up employees from the game developer company.
"Pretty lil thing holds her own in a room full of men in suits," she captioned the photo. "I'm SO so excited to finally share that I'll be featured in FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS."
After encouraging her fans to check out her character in the mobile game, which she even described to be "the cutest thing" she has ever seen in her whole life, Grande posted a subsequent video on her Instagram account. The clip was focused on a computer screen which depicted 11 versions of her avatar in "Brave Exvius."
The look of Grande's avatar in "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius," based on the video she shared, is inspired by her rabbit-eared fashion statement, which she heavily utilized in promoting her latest album, "Dangerous Woman." She donned the same look in the music video for the album's title track.
Her appearance in the popular mobile game hints on her continued pop cultural domination in 2017, according to Entertainment Weekly.
As reported by Polygon, "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius" is a free-to-play, turn-based role-playing game which introduces a new cast of characters in the "Final Fantasy" franchise. Aside from bearing the familiar elements expected to appear in a "Final Fantasy" game, the role-playing mobile game is also designed with the franchise's known features such as limit breaks and summons.
"Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius," developed by Gumi, was released in Japan back in 2015 and was brought to North America last June 2016 for both Android and iOS platforms. The game is considered a success, having been downloaded more than 8 million times worldwide.
