'Final Fantasy XV' carnival event happening now; new items, quest and activities up for grabs

The "Final Fantasy XV" carnival event has just started. From today until Feb. 19, players can take pleasure with carnival activities via the Moogle Chocobo Carnival.

As seen from the recent promo video, players of "Final Fantasy XV" will get to play different kinds of carnival games like chocobo racing. Plus, there are new items and new quests that everyone can enjoy. According to Square Enix, the carnival event is not connected to the main story so players will not have to worry about the storyline being spoiled.

"For a limited time, visit a transformed Altissia which is hosting a carnival that has taken over the city to celebrate the famous Final Fantasy mascots. There's new side quests, new outfits for Noctis and a spectacular fireworks show for you to enjoy!" Square Enix wrote on its website.

The great thing about the event is that all players will get to access it no matter how far they have progressed in the game. The carnival can be accessed through the Special option found in the main menu. However, it is necessary to download the Holiday Pack expansion regardless if it is free or paid. Once installed, a Carnival Passport will be given to the player and the carnival enjoyment beings.

Once a player arrives at the carnival, one or two exclusive skins for Noctis will be given to them. The number of outfits depends on whether a player has the "Final Fantasy XV" season pass or not. All players who access the carnival, on the other hand, will receive a Choco-Mog T-shirt and several new photo frames that can be used when taking photos.
