The coming of the Nintendo Switch has got the gamers speculating what titles will be included in the console. Aside from the already confirmed games, Nintendo announced that "Fire Emblem" will also have a Switch version.

The news first sparked as a rumor from a NeoGAF post, stating that "Fire Emblem Fates" may be seen in the Nintendo Switch. A source code has apparently leaked from the Nintendo official website, indicating that the game will be out for Switch. The code that blatantly reads "Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation for Nintendo Switch" is found in the alt text.

The "Revelation" downloadable content (DLC) is the third campaign for the franchise. However, it is believed that three campaigns will be available for the Nintendo Switch. Aside from "Revelations," titles such as "Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright" and "Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest" may be included.

Fortunately, all these rumors were immediately confirmed by Nintendo when they announced through their "Fire Emblem Direct" that the title will be available for Switch. This has given the franchise their first-ever home console version after a decade. The most recent one came out for Wii, titled as "Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn," in 2007.

"Fire Emblem" is a popular role-playing game (RPG) game in Japan, developed by Nintendo SPD and Intelligent Systems. The gameplay involves engaging in a battle that is set in a grid, where the players and the enemies take turns in their attack. The characters can be customized by gender, name and appearance.

According to Techno Buffalo, the "Fire Emblem" series was once ignored, but its last two titles for the Nintendo 3DS version paved the way for it to be included in the Nintendo Switch. Furthermore, Japan card players have grown fond of it following its revival.

"Fire Emblem" will be made available for the upcoming console in 2018, indicating that gamers would still have to wait before experiencing the gameplay. The "Fire Emblem" title for the Switch remains to be announced.
