'Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location' spoilers: Scott Cawthon teases game details
"Five Nights at Freddy's" (FNAF) newest title, "Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location," will be making its way out soon. In the meantime, the game's creator and developer, Scott Cawthon, has made a few but telling revelations about his upcoming game.
The developer confirmed the game will have animatronic character voices as per the "FNAF World" update 2 where a strange voice was heard, in addition to the trailer which was released last month showing speakers on the chests of the characters featured. In this version, the characters, including Freddy and Foxy, will be talking to the players.
"FNAF Sister Location" will be expanding on the story of FNAF once thought to have ended with the fourth FNAF edition. According to Cawthon, "Sister Location" will be "canon."
This, however, was not enough to go on with, as it really did not say whether "Sister Location" will continue the thread of the story begun in the previous games nor did it confirm that it is merely considered canon for being in the same universe as the other earlier iterations but has its own lore.
The game developer also teased that the newest in his game titles "will definitely be different" and will have a lot of surprises in store for those who may be fed up with the usual on FNAF. It is believed that the new game will be really exciting but that Cawthon is saving the juiciest tidbits for a later announcement.
In keeping with his tradition of providing creative insights in his games, Cawthon also revealed that the new game will feature extras during the development process, only that there will be more this time around.
While the game creator has been very fluid in his release dates in the past, announcing it for a certain date and then releasing earlier than announced, he has definitely declared that this time there will be "no more early release dates."
This may be due to the less successful initial release of a previous game, "FNAF World," which had been plagued with gameplay concerns. This time, the game genius will make sure that the game is polished and no less than perfect before making the release.
Still, Cawthon has had a pretty solid reputation for putting out a unique brand of video games in the past, and the same is being expected with his next eagerly awaited installment, "Sister Location."
The game is expected to release in the fall of this year.
