'Flip or Flop' El Moussa divorce news: Christina El Moussa finally opens up about her failed marriage

Christina El Moussa finally broke her silence on her highly publicized divorce with "Flip or Flop" co-star Tarek El Moussa.

In an interview with People magazine, Christina recalled the scary incident she had with Tarek when they were still living together at their Southern California home. The pair got into a heated argument that forced Tarek to leave their home with a gun. Christina thought he was suicidal, so she called the police after the incident happened. When Tarek was finally found by the authorities, Christina said it was the breaking point of their seven-year marriage.

"It just made me realize that us being separated was healthier for both of us," she explained. The HGTV star then decided to have their two kids, Taylor and Brayden, move in with the family nanny for six weeks. Despite their breakup, Christina still wishes nothing but happiness for Tarek. "I'm happy for him and whatever steps he takes in his life," she said, adding, "and I just hope he's happy."

According to reports, the past week has been very difficult for Christina. After talking about her failed marriage in "Good Morning America," the reality star also broke up with her boyfriend Gary Anderson. Christina's rep Cassandra Zebisch told Us Weekly that the mother of two just wants to give more time for her kids. "Christina is single and being in a relationship is the last thing on her mind," the rep said. "She is taking this time to focus on her children and herself," she added.

Christina and Gary started dating in mid-2016. As a contractor, he worked with Christina and Tarek on multiple projects for the HGTV remodeling show. The pair were first photographed together earlier this month while taking a stroll in Yorba Linda, California. Tarek, on the other hand, was also recently spotted having dinner with a female friend.
