'Forza Horizon 3' DLC news update: First expansion out holiday; original 'Forza Horizon' game to meet 'end of life' next month
Microsoft has announced its post-launch downloadable content (DLC) plans for the highly-anticipate racing game "Forza Horizon 3."
An expansion pass will be released for the game. It will contain a couple of expansions. The first one will be available by the end of the year.
Those who purchased the $100 Ultimate Edition of "Forza Horizon 3" will enjoy a $10 discount should they pick it up immediately or before the year ends.
"Forza Horizon 3" is already available and so far, the title has been racking up praises from critics and gamers alike. RollingStone.com went so far as to say it "sets new bar for racing games."
PCWorld considers the Xbox One and personal computer (PC) exclusive title as "the smoothest, the most realistic, that any of the Horizon games has ever looked."
Although it just released yesterday, "Forza Horizon 3" is earning massive love already, thanks to its stellar performance and graphics.
Those who want to play it on the new Xbox One S in its utmost glory and beauty should make sure they play it with a 4K TV that supports HDR (high dynamic range imaging). Microsoft put together a step-by-step guideline for this.
There is no better time to get into "Forza Horizon 3" especially with the original "Forza Horizon" will reach its "end of life status" on Oct. 20, which will render the game and all its DLCs no longer playable.
"Players who own Forza Horizon before that date will still be able to download and play the game and its associated content as normal. After that date, however, Forza Horizon and its associated DLC will no longer be for sale," developer Turn 10 Studios announced.
"Forza Horizon 3" was released on Sept. 27. More details about the DLCs should be announced "in the near future." Until then, fans can get a load of the beauty of Australia in the game.
