Well-known evangelist Franklin Graham is disputing recent comments made by 2016 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton in which she suggests that the way to change racial relations in the U.S. is through new laws, not the changing of hearts.

Graham, the CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, took to Facebook this week to contest comments recently made by Clinton when she spoke with Black Lives Matter activists in New Hampshire following a campaign event.

A recently-released video shows Clinton discussing strategies for ending racial tension in the U.S. with three Black Lives Matter activists, saying that she believes the changing of laws, not the changing of hearts, is what facilitates racial change.

"Look, I don't believe you change hearts," Clinton tells the activists in the video. "I believe you change laws, you change allocation of resources, you change the way systems operate. You're not going to change every heart. You're not. But at the end of the day, we could do a whole lot to change some hearts and change some systems and create more opportunities for people who deserve to have them, to live up to their own God-given potential."

Graham took to Facebook following Clinton's comments to argue that "changed hearts" do make a difference.

"Changed hearts do make a difference — and God is in the heart-changing business!" Graham wrote. "All lives matter to Him, regardless of the color of our skin."

"The way to true reconciliation between the races is through hearts changed by the One who created all of us, Almighty God," Graham continued. "His Word says, 'Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you' (Ezekiel 36:26)."
