Disney's animated movie "Frozen" was such a phenomenal hit that the iconic song "Let It Go" from the movie still reverberates around the globe up to now. Because viewers, young and old, have fallen in love with the sisters Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kristen Bell), Disney fans have been itching to hear news about the film's sequel.

Fans of the first "Frozen" movie will be happy to know that actor Alan Tudyk, who played that villainous Duke of Weselton in the movie, has confirmed that he will be back for "Frozen 2."

In an interview with Fandango, Tudyk revealed that he will be returning in some way or other to the worlds of movies like "Frozen" and "Wreck-It Ralph" should their respective sequels be greenlit for development and production.

"I will [return]," he said. "I don't know in what character form, though. I say that confidently just because I've been in the ones before and they are committed to continuing that tradition, which considering how many movies they put out... I'm gonna run out of voices at some point! But I haven't run out yet, so let's do it," the actor added.

Disney has so far remained mum concerning Tudyk's statement and has yet to make any announcement about the development and release date of "Frozen 2." However, according to iDigital Times, the sequel to mega-hit "Frozen" could possibly hit the theaters in November 2018. With two "Frozen"-related events set to happen before the rumored target release date, enough hype would have been built up by then to bring the "Frozen" sequel back into the public's consciousness.

In the winter of 2017, a "Frozen" holiday special is expected to air on ABC. The special will be directed by two-time Emmy Award-winning directors Kevin Deters and Stevie-Wermers Skelton, and it will be produced by Oscar Award-winner Roy Conli.

After the holiday special, the Broadway musical of "Frozen," joining "The Lion King" and "Aladdin," is scheduled to open in the spring of 2018.
