Samsung has apparently been secretly developing the successor Galaxy Grand Prime. The upcoming device has been spotted several times on Zauba, an export and import tracking website in India.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime has tasted success after it was announced in 2014. It was originally planned for the Asian markets; however, many people were surprised after the South Korean company has decided to launch the device in the U.S. after a few months.

Although Samsung has yet to announce the new device, people predict that it will be called Galaxy Grand Prime 2016. Tech observers expect the company to make an official statement anytime soon.

According to the reports, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 2016 has already been spotted on Zauba thrice. The upcoming device is said to have SM-G532F model number, which is pretty close to the original one of SM-G531.

If the Zauba listing is to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is going to carry a 5-inch screen with 540 x 960 resolutions. It will run on a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor from Qualcomm with a speed of 1.2 GHz. Although it does not have the same processor as the ones from top-tier models, the hardware unit has decent speed. It will also be paired with 1.5 GB of RAM from multitasking purposes.

According to the listing, the device will carry an 8 MP primary shooter and a 5 MP selfie camera. It will also house an 8 GB internal storage capacity, which is expandable to up to 64 GB via microSD.

Tech fans expect the new Galaxy Grand Prime 2016 to have better specs and features than its predecessors. It will also run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. There is no report as of the moment if the device will support the upcoming Android 7.0 Nougat update.

Meanwhile, fans should wait for Samsung to make an official announcement before making any assumptions.
