It has already been known that Samsung is currently holding a beta test of the latest Android Nougat for its most recent flagship devices, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Some users have been wondering when their own devices will receive the update, including the owners of Galaxy Note 5.

Fortunately, a sparkle of hope is seen via a benchmark result spotted on GFXBench. The site shows a Galaxy Note 5 running the latest operating system (OS), which implies that the company may already be prepping up for the availability of Android Nougat to Note 5.

The test reportedly shows that the development of Android Nougat for Note 5 is going smooth and it will eventually become available soon. In fact, the company may already be in the final stages of development; the only thing that remains is when the update will be rolled out.

According to Ubergizmo, it may be possible that owners of Galaxy Note 5 can receive the update in 2017, considering the fact that Samsung has not released the Android update for the S7 series. This means, the release of an update for Note 5 will have to wait in line.

Aside from Galaxy Note 5, users of Galaxy S3 are happy with the news that they can also download the Android 7.0 Nougat to their devices. A custom firmware called ResurrectionRemix made it all possible, and so S3 users will be able to see what the latest Android software has to offer.

Among these is the multiwindow feature, which allows the user to do multitasking in the easiest way possible. Other features include the multilocal language settings, Three-Finger Swipe screenshot gesture and custom Quick settings, among others.

Galaxy A lines are also expected to receive the Android Nougat update, but Samsung has yet to announce when it will become available. Nevertheless, it is expected to arrive in mid-2017.
