Specifically, these characters are Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage). The pictures can be seen as a simple meeting of two characters from opposite sides of the world, but this also suggests a confirmation of the fans' highly anticipated plot development: the two main players of the series, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), building an alliance to invade the entire Westeros.
To note, Davos is known to have pledged his oath to Jon Snow, who now hold the title as the King of the North. Tyrion, on the other hand, now serves Daenerys as the Hand of the Queen. The meeting of Tyrion and Davos would suggest that their respective masters are going to cross each other's paths as well.
