Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington), the man she doesn't yet know is her nephew, could be teaming up in next year's "Game of Thrones" season 7.

This highly exciting turn of events was hinted at in recent on-set photos and video clips taken of the "Game of Thrones" cast and crew. The new season of the HBO fantasy drama has reportedly been filming in Spain for the past few weeks.

This week, rumors began swirling that Dany and Jon will meet and possibly form an alliance in the next season. Clarke and Harington were snapped filming scenes for season 7 in Spain alongside the actors who play Dany's and Jon's followers, including Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), and others.

Mail Online says that filming has recently occurred on Itzurun beach as well as La Muriola in Barrika. The "Game of Thrones" cast is also expected to soon begin filming on the San Juan de Gaztelugatxe islet, which is near Barrika.

Watchers on the Wall recently shared a video clip showing a meeting between Dany and Jon. In the footage, Jon walks down a staircase to where Dany is waiting at the bottom landing. The Mother of Dragons turns to greet the new King in the North and the two appear as though they are having an amiable conversation before the clip ends.

According to ComicBook.com, these new set photos and video could mean that Snow is seeking an alliance with Dany against the new Queen of Westeros, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). The outlet postulates that the scene in the clip could be of Dany arriving at Dragonstone, the former seat of House Targaryen. Jon may have traveled there in anticipation of Dany's arrival from Meereen.

With Dany and Jon joining forces, the battle of Targaryen (and secret Targaryen) against Lannister may form the big climax of "Game of Thrones" season 7. After the two defeat Cersei, they can then turn their attention to the White Walker threat north of The Wall.

"Game of Thrones" season 7 is currently filming in multiple locations. It will premiere on HBO in 2017.
