'Game of Thrones' season 7 news, updates, and release date: Meera is now Bran's protector
After the dramatic season of "Game of Thrones," many are looking forward to what is ahead for the characters of the series.
The finale of season 6 hinted a lot of interesting events, teasing a very likely change in dynamics in Westeros. In addition, it seems as though there is a lot of madness in store for the Stark family. One of the characters who fans are very curious about is Bran Stark, played by Isaac Hempstead Wright.
When the season ended, Bran became the Three-Eyed Raven, since the former one had died. With that, there could be a lot of interesting events in the episodes ahead. Fortunately, fellow co-star Ellie Kendrick, who plays the role of Meera, was able to share some insight about what her character and Bran will face in the new season of "Game of Thrones."
The two are left to fend for each other since their companions had died trying to save them. Because of this, Kendrick explained that Meera will now be responsible for taking care of Bran. She explained that she will have to make sure that he gets to where he needs to give and that he is able to fulfill his mission. In addition, she said that this is her character's fate, as her house has always been loyal to the Starks.
She shared, "I love the story line he has because he's this kid who's been forgotten, but he has these incredible powers to unleash. It makes me think of Stranger Things a bit. He looks small and weak, and yet he's got this immense strength and capability of mind. That's going to be one of the most exciting things in the coming episodes because he can reveal all of the past and the future."
