'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life' news, spoilers: Revival ends with Rory revealing that she's pregnant
The revival series of "Gilmore Girls" has ended, and it finishes with Rory (Alexis Bledel) telling Lorelai (Lauren Graham) that she's pregnant.
The series that revolved around the mother and daughter relationship of Lorelai and Rory in Stars Hollow was revived into what appeared to be a four-part movie titled "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life." Each episode depicted a different season in Lorelai and Rory's life, beginning with "Winter" and ending in "Fall."
At the end of "Fall," executive producers Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Daniel Palladino were able to execute the final four words that they've always wanted the series to end with since season 1.
These final four words were Rory telling her mom that she's pregnant.
Sherman-Palladino shared with Entertainment Weekly that they finally got the ending that was meant for the series. She added, "I knew it from the very beginning, I really did. And it was only because I knew where I wanted the show as a series to go."
The series may have ended but it did with a major cliffhanger. Who is the father of Rory's child? Who is she going to end up with?
Scott Patterson, who plays Luke, shared his thoughts about who Rory will end up with.
"Let's think of it in terms of who is Amy going to set up to fight for Rory's affection. Will it be she's carrying Logan's (Matt Czuchry) child and Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) is going to fight for her because Logan's going to be schmucky, or is Logan, the rich guy, going to fight for her and Jess is going to be schmucky? I don't know. I'm thinking it's Logan's kid and Jess is going to fight for her," Patterson explained.
So far, there has been no news if there will be a season 2 for "A Year in the Life."
"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" is available on Netflix.
