"Girl Meets World" season 3, episode 5 is focusing this time on Maya Hart (Sabrina Carpenter) and her love of art as well as on her friendship with Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard). She is going through an identity crisis along with a multitude of changes.

Entitled "Girl Meets Triangle," the episode may also touch on the love triangle of Maya–Lucas–Riley.

Fans feel that it is high time this situation is taken up in the show because it has been quite obvious; however, there seems to have been no mention of it since.

The promo trailer for the upcoming episode is out, and the changes that Maya are experiencing have now become obvious to those around her. She has been getting on well academically, but her art teacher makes a comment regarding her artwork. He says that her friendship with Riley may be altering her artist's voice. He takes one look at her painting and comments, "That's not who you are."

This results in Maya's identity crisis becoming full-blown. The situation becomes so bad that Riley's mom Topanga (Danielle Fishel) tells her, "You have not been you. Come back."

This particular episode was written by Joshua Jacobs. The show is directed by Ben Savage, who also stars on the show as Cory Matthews, Riley's dad.

The series is the sequel to the sitcom "Boy Meets World" which told the story of Cory and Topanga, ending in their marriage. "Girl Meets World" continues their story as a married couple but focuses this time on their daughter, Riley, and her best friend, Maya, as they go through the adventures and mishaps of teenage life and junior high school.

The teenage girls are joined by their friends, Lucas Friar (Peyton Meyer) and Farkle Minkus (Corey Fogelmanis) as well as Auggie (August Maturo), Riley's younger brother.

The fifth episode of "Girl Meets World" season 3 will air Friday, June 24.
