The upcoming "God of War" sequel will be more action-packed than the previous installments as Santa Monic Studio, the game studio behind the successful video game franchise, revealed that the storyline of the new game title will be longer and will possibly feature more enemy units that the players must face. Also, the central character of the new sequel will be none other than Kratos' wife.

"God of War" game director Cory Balrog recently tweeted that the fans of the "God of War" game series can expect longer hours of gameplay in the upcoming sequel. Also, Santa Monic Studio may begin releasing the important details about the new gameplay this coming week, according to YIbada.

As reported by the online publication, Balrog revealed in another interview that Kratos' wife will have a very important role in the new "God of War" installment. However, he did not go further to explain what role Kratos' wife will specifically play in the storyline. The wife of the mighty god warrior has not been tackled in the previous installments until now, and her real name is still not disclosed.

It was also revealed that Kratos will be going in an adventure together with his son as they will be visiting significant locations in the Nine Realms, based on the popular Norse mythology.

Kratos' son will be more of a supporting character, but in the gameplay, the player can only fully control the character of Kratos. His son's role in the adventure will be more on aiding his father, or at times even joining Kratos in close combat fights.

Moreover, the focus of the new "God of War" game title will be more on the main gameplay itself, as the sequel will no longer have the mini-games featured in the previous "God of War" installments, PlayStation Universe reported.
