Google's announcement of its latest operating system, the Android 7.0 Nougat, has given so much attention to the development and release of the company's latest flagship device, Google Nexus 2016. Previous rumors suggested that the American search engine company has partnered with the Taiwanese tech giant, HTC, to help them manufacture the next Nexus device. According to the latest reports, the HTC-made smartphone will most likely come out with a pre-installed Android Nougat.

There have been several speculations surround the upcoming Google Nexus 2016. According to reports, HTC is currently making two Nexus devices called HTC Marlin and HTC Sailfish. The two versions of Nexus 2016 are said to arrive in October, along with Google's new OS. However, there are rumors circulating that Google will roll out the new software before the month of August will end. If the company decides to debut the new software on its latest Nexus handset, they may have to release it earlier than expected.

Despite the lack of concrete details with regard to the specs and features of the new Nexus devices, fans and critics have already shared their predictions all over the Internet. There are speculations suggesting that both HTC Marlin and HTC Sailfish will arrive with AMOLED display panel. The Marlin will have a bigger screen compared to the smaller Sailfish. The former will get a remarkable resolution of 2560 x 1440, which is basically 2K technology. On the other hand, the Sailfish will get a 1080p Full HD display.

If rumors prove to be true, both devices will get either the Snapdragon 820 or the latest Snapdragon 821, which are both from Qualcomm. The two smartphones will carry 4 GB of RAM along with an amazing graphics support from Vulkan.

According to BGR, HTC Marlin might be released with a price tag of $350, while the Marlin version of Nexus 2016 will be available for $400.

Nonetheless, Google and HTC have yet to verify these reports. Until both companies make an official announcement, all details and information are merely just rumors and speculations.
