Google Pixel vs iPhone 7 specs, price review and comparison: Which is better?
The competition has started for the recently released devices, Google Pixel and iPhone 7. The two products from different companies are both covetable in their own ways, which is why several are still torn between the two. Should they pick the Pixel or the iPhone 7?
According to reports, both of the smartphones are superb, premium and also well-built. But in terms of speed, Apple's contender is a landslide winner because of its A10 fusion chip which really produces a fast performance. A YouTuber recorded a speed test of the two devices and the results showed that the Google Pixel tends to load slower than the iPhone 7.
But it doesn't mean that the Pixel smartphone is far off. It still keeps up with the iPhone 7. However, it struggles with launching its camera, which is a big no-no for those who want to capture moments quickly. But if the iPhone 7 wins performance-wise, the Pixel wins the fingerprint scanner feature.
They are a tie though when it comes to their batteries. Reports said that both excel when it comes to the battery life and battery management software. They are now able to keep the life of the phone by removing background processes that are not essential.
In terms of appearance, the iPhone 7 is said to be smaller and slimmer. It's also lighter and is made to be waterproof and dust-proof with IP67. The Pixel, on the other hand, has only IP53 so it's not possible to submerge it in water. It's also built with aluminum and glass. It still comes with a headphone jack as opposed to the iPhone 7 which now just comes with stereo speakers placed on either side of its lightning port.
Moreover, the Google Pixel sports a 5-inch display with AMOLED technology and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 while the iPhone 7 features only a 4.7-inch LCD display. The Pixel shows sharper and crisper images but the iPhone 7 is still excellent. The two are actually just the same price with their standard 32 GB model which is $732.
