GoPro Hero 5 release date, specs rumors 2016: Next gen action camera to be unveiled on Sept. 19?
GoPro Hero 5 has been a favorite subject of several rumors and speculations online for a few months now. Although the company has yet to provide concrete details with regard to its development and release date, unconfirmed reports have already revealed some of its specs and features. There are speculations suggesting that the new Hero 5 will already be compatible with GoPro's new Karma Drone once both devices come out in the market.
Rumor has it that GoPro Hero 5 and Karma Drone will be sold as a bundle. There are some concerns coming fans who are saying that a bundle between the two might be too expensive for several interested buyers.
According to TechRadar, GoPro's first drone device, the Karma Drone, will be unveiled on Sept. 19. Many fans also expect the company to reveal the next generation action camera during the event.
If rumors prove to be true, the new GoPro Hero 5 will have the ability to record videos at 1080p and 4k technology. In a report by Christian Times, the fifth gen GoPro action camera can easily record 4K videos at 60 and 80 fps. There are also rumors saying that the device can record in Full HD at 120 fps. Other features of the upcoming action camera include an improved 1220 mAh battery. The new device will also carry a GPS feature and a USB Type-C connector.
It has been previously reported that GoPro has been having issues with sales. The new Hero 5 is supposed to be the redeeming factor as they try to recapture the interest of consumers.
Meanwhile, in a report by Christian Post, the new Hero 5 will most likely come out with the same price tag as the current GoPro Hero 4. The current iteration is currently available for $499.99.
