In the second delay confirmed within six weeks, Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto 5's release date on PC has been moved from March 24 to April 14. It was initially due to arrive on Jan. 27 before it was moved to March 24.

GTA 5 is the latest version of the very popular action adventure video game series "Grand Theft Auto," published by Rockstar Games.

An official apology has been released by Rockstar as follows: "Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game, but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC."

"As always, we ask for the GTA PC community's understanding and assistance in helping to report any concerns during the early days of launch when those inevitable initial teething issues arise on the new platform."

As a gesture of goodwill, an additional $200,000 in-game cash will be provided for anyone who has pre-ordered GTA 5 for use in GTA Online.

Fans will definitely be disappointed with this further delay, as they eagerly await this supposed graphically improved version of their beloved game, based on the released screenshots.

In related news, Rockstar announced that the GTA 5 Online Heists mode will launch as DLC, or downloadable content, for the game's console version on March 10 and will be available from launch on PC. According to Rockstar, Heists will bring a brand new four-player cooperative gameplay experience to GTA Online, giving players the chance to team up to pull off a string of intense, multi-part raids and robberies across Los Santos and Blaine County. More information will be forthcoming in the coming weeks with regards to the new features that will be included in the release.
