'Grand Theft Auto 5' DLC update release date news 2016: Halloween-themed DLC coming?
"Grand Theft Auto 5" or "GTA 5" fans recently got excited after a teaser from Rockstar Games surfaced. They posted an image on their Twitter account and several thought right away that it's "Red Dead Redemption 2." But even with the apparent hint, others still suggested that it's a new DLC (downloadable content).
The image that Rockstar posted merely showed their logo positioned at the center of a red background. It did not even come with a caption, leaving it a big mystery among fans. It strongly depicted a "Red Dead Redemption" vibe but reports said that it could be a Halloween-themed DLC for "GTA 5."
iDigital Times detailed that Rockstar already released a Halloween weather patch and in the new update, fans could enjoy a spooky atmosphere as well as a rainy climate. It created a dark motif to fit the season but it seemed like the gaming company is planning to add more as rumor has it that they could be putting spookier elements.
Reports said that "GTA 5" may be getting a Zombie DLC. This idea was based on the speculation that the red-washed teaser meant a zombie apocalypse in Los Santos wherein it's going to be bloody and gory with terrifying-looking brain-eating walkers.
This rumored DLC is without doubt a very interesting one but reports pointed out that releasing another expansion at this point for "GTA 5" may not be possible. Rockstar just released a major update called "Bikers" so releasing one more in less than a month is less likely.
Also, Rockstar just recently announced that they will be releasing "Red Dead Redemption 2" in fall 2017. The teaser was for the western action-adventure video game after all. Fans will have to wait a little more to find out whether Rockstar will release a new DLC for "GTA 5."
