As the summer continues, the teams in the National Football League continue to build their roster and try to strengthen their lineup.

The Green Bay Packers, in particular, are trying to bring in Ohio Dominican standout kicker Brent Wahle to work out for the team, according to the Twitter post shared by beat writer Aaron Wilson.

However, he may be brought in to work with the team as a camp kicker, given that Mason Crosby is still the team's starter.

Crosby is also under contract for four more years with the Packers.

NFL Trade Rumors reported this as well but made it clear that Wahle is in to help the team off the field.

Looking at Wahle's college credentials with Ohio Dominican, he is a very reliable kicker and should flourish given the right team and if given the chance.

A consensus All-American after his senior year, Wahle also earned CoSIDA Academic All-American honors.

Playing four years in college, Wahle played 45 games and made 67 out of his 84 field goal attempts, giving him an 80 percent success rate.

Furthermore, Wahle made 193 out of 197 extra point attempts for a success rate of 98 percent.

Unfortunately, Wahle did not get drafted in this year's draft but remains constantly in the radar of some teams looking for kickers.

He was initially invited by the Cleveland Browns back in May along with Andrew Baggett and Chad Hedlund but it did not work out as he was not offered a chance in Ohio.

Now with the Packers, he will get a chance to play with an elite team and despite only being a camp kicker, Wahle may get experience that will eventually be handy when he does land the team.

The Packers are hoping to maintain their contender status as they are still one of the most loaded teams in the league.

They require only a few tweaks to possibly contend for the title in the coming season.
