'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 news: Is Amelia pregnant? Giacomo Gianniotti on possible love triangle
Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) and Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) may soon become parents.
In a sneak peek for the next episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, Amelia, who is hiding in a supply closet, starts freaking out over the possibility of being pregnant when Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) walks in unexpectedly. Meredith becomes suspicious of Amelia and says that she is being sketchy.
After Meredith cautiously asks if Amelia is looking for drugs, the latter announces "I'm pregnant!" Meredith congratulates Amelia and says "Owen must be thrilled!"
"I don't know when to tell him," Amelia replies, admitting that she isn't even sure if she's really pregnant.
At the end of last week's episode, Amelia and Owen had a heartfelt discussion about starting a family. The two then decided to go ahead with the plan.
Incidentally, Scorsone announced in August that she is expecting her second child with her husband, Rob Giles. At the time, she told Entertainment Tonight that being pregnant during production will be "challenging," but said that she doesn't think her character will become pregnant to camouflage her own real-life pregnancy.
Meanwhile, "Grey's Anatomy" regular Giacomo Gianniotti recently addressed the rumors that there's a blossoming romance between his character, Andrew DeLuca, and Camilla Luddington's Jo Wilson.
In an interview with ET, Gianniotti said, "People keep asking, 'Are they getting together?' and 'Is it a romantic thing?' and it could develop into that, but right now it's a friendship — two people who are happy to have someone to talk to."
"Alex [Justin Chambers] might beat me up again if I go for his girl!" he added. "So I would ask Andrew to tread lightly in that direction," Gianiotti said.
"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
