'Grimm' season 6 spoilers: Chris McKenna joins show; Adalind remains Renard's prisoner?
Latest spoilers for "Grimm" season 6 show that Adalind will remain Renard's "prisoner," although there's a chance that Eve/Juliette will help rescue her. Moreover, a new character is expected to join the Scooby Gang.
To recap, "Grimm" season 5 had Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) saving Eve/Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) and Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) with the magical healing stick. Diana (Hanna R. Loyd) likewise accidentally saved Nick, while Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz) and the Black Claw leader teamed up in the end. Adalind Schade (Claire Coffee) also chose to stay with Renard for her family's sake.
When the sixth season opens, Adalind would apparently still be a Black Claw prisoner, although Juliette/Eve could team up with the Scooby Gang to rescue her. At any rate, no matter how much Adalind wants to be reunited with Nick, it would be next to impossible, seeing as how she is still a prisoner of the enchanted ring, which the Black Claw leader forced on her.
TV Line caught up with the cast and showrunners of "Grimm" at the San Diego Comic-Con, and there, they learned that Adalind would try to guide her daughter Diana toward goodness, considering she shunned her Hexenbiest side herself. However, Renard (the girl's father), would be against his daughter subduing her Wesen powers for the sake of humans.
In related news, former "Castle" actor Chris McKenna has been tapped to play the "formidable and driven" Lieutenant Grossante on "Grimm" season 6. The character is further described as a "military-type" Portland cop. McKenna himself made the announcement via a tweet.
According to Movie News Guide, McKenna signed up for only one episode. Nevertheless, there are speculations that he would be signing up for more episodes especially since there is a possibility that his character would eventually be revealed as Wesen. This early, fans are anticipating the truth about his identity, which would probably be revealed as "Grimm" season 6 progresses.
As to reports that this would be the final season for "Grimm," executive producer David Greenwalt is non-committal.
"Grimm" season 6 will drop on Oct. 28 on NBC.
