'Grimm' season 6 episode 4 spoilers: New Wesen a threat to Rosalee and Monroe's unborn child in 'El Cuegle'

Rosalee (Bree Turner) and Monroe’s (Silas Weir Mitchell) family plans are put in jeopardy in the next episode of “Grimm.” | YouTube/Grimm

The captain of the Portland Police Department may have proven himself to be a lot of bad things these past episodes, but it turns out, he's not completely beyond reason. The promise of great power may have drawn a power-tripping side to Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) out into the light, but what happens when that power is scrapped out of the equation?

In the previous episode of "Grimm," the intense rooftop battle between Renard and Nick (David Giuntoli), who was disguised in Renard's skin, owing to the Hexenbiest transformation spell, ended in a truce of sorts. Although they both knew things would not settle back into how they were before Black Claw came between their alliance, the Zauberbiest and the Grimm agreed to at least try and make things work. Renard also has no need for a fake family after the disguised Grimm resigned from the mayorship, so Nick gets to have his son and Adalind back.

Meanwhile, with the rebellious trio of Nick, Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) fully reinstated into their duties at the Portland P.D., NBC's dark fantasy series can now go back to the normal grind, at least for a while, as the next episode sends Nick and crew in the path of a baby-stealing creature from the Spanish folklore known as the Cuegle. Also, the trailer seems to hint that Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee's (Bree Turner) unborn child could be in danger.

Rosalee's pregnancy also draws attention from Diana (Hannah R. Loyd), who gives them an interesting piece of news regarding their future family. Will this intel be that one silver lining for what may turn out to be a bleak episode for Monroe and Rosalee, or will this only add to their anxiety?

Elsewhere, Meisner's (Damien Puckler) sudden reappearance throws Renard's world into a guilt-ridden downward spiral. However, is it really Meisner, or is it just some hallucinatory ghost out to torture what's left of the captain's humanity?

Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) is also haunted by strange visions as a side effect to having been healed by the mysterious stick, and these will send her back to the catacombs right underneath Nick's loft to find some answers. But will she find them without endangering her life?

"Grimm" season 6 episode 4 airs on Friday, Jan. 27, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
