'GTA 5' Bikers DLC release date news 2016: Expansion to launch Oct. 4
"Bikers," the next downloadable content (DLC) for "Grand Theft Auto 5," will be released on Tuesday, Oct. 4 as an automatic update to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and personal computer (PC).
Developer Rockstar Games made the announcement on its website along with a bunch of new screenshots of the DLC (one of which can be seen above) so fans can get a better look at the update.
The "Bikers" DLC gives "GTA 5" players the chance to form a Motorcycle Club of up to eight members and take on the Los Santos and Blaine County criminal underworld.
It adds tons of new items including weapons, garbs and vehicles and introduces a whole new competitive and co-operative gameplay, which Rockstar talked about on its blog.
In "GTA 5: Bikers," players who are starting out called the Prospects must earn the respect of the club's President in order to move up the hierarchy. The former are usually brought on missions as a backup.
Rockstar also warns players not to "ride too close," adding that melee while riding gives players "a new level of protection and attacks from bikes."
While on the subject of melee, "GTA 5: Bikers" introduces a crop of weapons catering to that. One of which is the new Western Rat Bike.
The DLC will also include a slew of new properties such as MC Clubhouses, which comes with a special custom Biker mechanic, as well as venues for "seedy business ventures."
The "GTA 5 DLC was announced almost a couple of weeks ago. There were tons of reports with regards to its release date, most of which pointing to an October launch.
The description for the DLC is as follows:
While loyal MCs will fight to expand their foothold alongside black-collar CEOs and Organizations, there's always another opportunity to make your mark just around the corner. Keep an eye out for high-level, high-risk vehicle based business ventures to spring up across Los Santos and Blaine County soon.
