'GTA Online' Festive update: discounted items offered until Jan. 2 only; more perks given to players this holiday season
Players of "Grand Theft Auto Online" (referred to as "GTA Online") have been participating in the annual Festive Surprise for a couple of years already. This year, the Firework Launcher will make a great comeback and will come with the content from the previous events of the "GTA Online" Christmas.
In the next couple of days, players will have several perks such as more GTA$ to earn and double RP to gain, especially when they opt to play the Turf Wars Adversary mode. However, if they choose to participate in the most recent race called "Plummet," they will be able to enjoy triple RP.
In the upcoming event, "GTA Online" players will have new presents to gain, aside from the snow falling in San Andreas to make the event feel like it is really a holiday. Players will immerse more in the game with themed sweaters, hats, even the older items like the Gingerbread Man masks.
For those who want to buy new skins, there are some available items through the in-game stores. However, they can only be purchased for a limited time, which is until Jan. 9. According to Twitter user ItsJackFrost, the jumpers will be available with no cost.
According to Neurogadget, the light-up bodysuits are the best choice if the players would want to feel Christmas. There is also a vehicle called Truffade Nero that can be bought from Benny's, and can be customized. With "GTA Online" Import/Export update, players can also gain $50,000 more from rewards.
It is also worth reminding that players may want to grab the discounted items offered until Jan. 2. During the period, vehicles, real-estate and other assets can be owned with a 25 percent discount.
- Vehicles — Enus Super Diamond, Nagasaki Shotaro, Neons and Resprays;
- Air Travel — Buckingham Nimbus and Volatus;
- Real Estate — Eclipse Towers Penthouses, High-End Apartment Interiors and Stilt Houses;
- Ammu-Nation — Compact Grenade Launcher, Compact Rifle, Mini SMG and Sweeper Shotgun.
All the perks will truly make the players happy, and Rockstar happier with more profits to gain. As of this time, "GTA V" already sold 70 million copies worldwide.
