Aerosmith lead vocalist Steven Tyler recently expressed his desire to be part of Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." The director of the movie, James Gunn, has heard his request and gave Tyler his answer online — he's very much willing to oblige.

During a Q&A session on his Facebook page, Gunn stated that he is very willing to work with Tyler and that he's a huge fan.

Gunn said this about Tyler: "He said, 'James Gunn are you listening?' The answer is: Steven, yes I am listening. And I'm a big fan of Steven Tyler's. I had the pleasure of directing his daughter Liv in a movie (Super in 2010) in which she was fantastic, and I met him for a few seconds at a screening of that movie. He's a cool guy. And of course I would love to work with Steven Tyler sometime."

Tyler's daughter, Liv, has already worked in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) before. Back in 2008, she starred as Bruce Banner's (Edward Norton) love interest Betty Ross in the MCU's second film "The Incredible Hulk." It would be interesting to see what role Gunn has in mind for her father, Steven.

As of now, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is in its post-production phase, and James Gunn said that he is currently not committed to directing a third "Guardians" film. Depending on the success of the second one, fans will just have to wait if Marvel is ready to take them on another ride in the Marvel Cosmic Universe.

The upcoming movie is already rife with cameos as well. Sylvester Stallone has a small role and Nathan Fillion will also make an appearance. The movie will also star Kurt Russell as Ego, the Living Planet. He is also revealed to be the father of Peter Quill.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" comes out May 5, 2017.
