Just before Christmas rolled out, parents have been lining up for long hours outside of retail stores just to score a Hatchimal toy. Now, just a couple of weeks after, those who have been fortunate enough to get their hands on the hot robots are complaining about the toys cursing during their sleep.

Various videos posted on YouTube show that the bird toys are saying lewd comments. This has garnered massive attention from owners alike crowding the comments section with mixed reactions from those who have watched the clip. Some were obviously creeped out by the claim, others stated that they do not hear any cursing words while the rest admits that they just cannot make anything of the sound. As of now, the 16-second amateur video has already garnered almost 3 million views since it was posted on Dec. 28.

The toy is designed to make human-like noises and is also able to pick up words or phrases that humans teach them. As of now, there are no restrictions as to what the robots are able to pick up, but obviously, parents are appalled to know that their Hatchimals are sporting a potty mouth especially when they are geared to having kid owners.

Spin Master, who is the manufacturer of the said hit toy, denies the allegations despite the continued increase in complaints. In an official statement sent to CNN Money, the Canadian company explains that while the toys are designed to make random sounds, it is by no means outfitted with the capability to curse out.

"Hatchimals communicate by speaking their own unique language, which is made of up of random sounds, and by making other noises, including shivering when they're cold and snoring while they sleep," a spokeswoman for the group said. "We can assure consumers that Hatchimals do not curse, nor do they use foul language."

First launched just a few months ago, in October, the Hatchimals have quickly become the hottest toy in demand over the holiday season. The massive demand for the miniature robots prompted Spin Master to air-freight their remaining stocks from their Chinese storage facility with an estimated rollout at the beginning of the year.
