'Hawaii Five-0' season 7 episode 12 air date news, spoilers: Team must find Chin before he is executed by the cartel
Chin's (Daniel Dae Kim) fate hangs in the balance after he sacrificed his life to ensure the safety of his niece, Sara (Londyn Silzer), in the midseason finale of "Hawaii Five-0" season 7. After a three-week hiatus, viewers will finally find out what happened to Chin after he was kidnapped by the Mexican Drug Cartel.
Season 7 of the action police procedural television series returns on Jan. 6, 2017 with the episode "Ka 'aelike (The Deal)." According to the synopsis, Steve (Alex O'Loughlin), Danny (Scott Caan) and Kono (Grace Park) will be racing against time trying to find and rescue Chin before he is executed by the cartel.
It can be recalled that in the previous episode, the Five-0 discovered that the cartel had kidnapped Sara in an effort to lure the team to Mexico. All along, the group's plan had been to take revenge on the Five-0.
Elsewhere in the upcoming installment, Grover (Chi McBride) goes undercover. He takes on the persona of a car salesman in order to investigate a murder. His mission takes a turn for the worse when it turns out that the case is far more complex and dangerous than he initially anticipated.
Soon after the thrilling midseason premiere of "Hawaii Five-0," the team will have to say goodbye to someone who has been with them since the first season. In episode 13 titled "Ua ho'i ka 'Åpua i Awalua (The Clouds Always Return to Alawua)," medical examiner Max (Masi Oka) says ohana as he moves to Africa with his new wife Sabrina (Rumer Wilis).
Oka's departure was announced back in November and the actor said that he felt that Max's arc was already complete.
"I think character-wise I felt like Max had done too much of everything he can do," Oka told Entertainment Weekly, adding that his commute to Hawaii from both Los Angeles and Japan had become too taxing.
Season 7 of "Hawaii Five-0" airs every Friday at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
