What would a "Hawaii Five-0" episode be like with Angus MacGyver (Lucas Till) in it? Can "MacGyver's" Phoenix Foundation handle a guy like Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin)?

A crossover between the two CBS shows may no longer be just the stuff of dreams after executive producer Peter M. Lenkov teased that McGarrett may have known MacGyver's partner, Jack Dalton (George Eads) in the past.

In a recent interview with TV Insider, Lenkov shared that he has been toying with the idea of a possible crossover between the two series in a flashback shot taken out of the "MacGyver" pilot. It would've shown Jack's past in Afghanistan, wherein "Aloha" was written on the saddle of his gun.

"The idea was that he knew McGarrett in the military," Lenkov said. "I still would like to take advantage of that," he added.

A crossover may not be happening anytime soon, but Lenkov has already thrown the idea out there and an opportunity may just be waiting around the corner. Hopefully, it will show itself before actor O'Loughlin's reported exit in season 8.

Speaking with TV Guide, Lenkov shared that whether or not O'Loughlin chose to keep doing the show would be his decision to make, and that "Hawaii Five-0" would keep moving forward as long as there people supporting it.

The executive producer also hinted at the possible return of McGarrett's ex-flame Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth) in future episodes, stating that their story may not be over yet and that anything can happen in the series.

Lenkov also shared that the story thread involving Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) and his niece Sara Waincroft (Londyn Silzer) would take quite an interesting turn that could resonate throughout the rest of the episodes in the current season. Does this mean that Chin could eventually gain custody of his niece, or would the upcoming events help him find the right reasons to let Sara go?

Meanwhile, CBS' long-running police procedural series finally returns with a new episode next week. Titled "Ka Luhi" ("The Burden"), the episode will feature a visit from Danny Williams' (Scott Caan) sister, who will be played by "Rookie Blue" alum Missy Peregrym.

"Hawaii Five-0" season 7 episode 10 airs on Friday, Dec. 9, at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
