Season 1 of "Hitman" comes out on disc later this month, and Square Enix has recently released a new trailer for the stealth video game.

According to reports, the short video explains the "Hitman" journey for those who are new to the franchise. Although the opening is quite messy, everything eventually falls into place as viewers are given a glimpse of what the game is all about. The clip offers an overview of the entire "Hitman" gameplay experience, from the first awkward assassination attempt to the planned hit. As Agent 47, the video features various locations and unusual methods that can be used to take a target down. This includes throwing rubber ducks that explode and dropping heavy light fixtures.

The disc includes 10 months of episodic content from last year's digital releases. All of the missions and locations for this season will be added to the disc, which will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

IO Interactive previously confirmed that there are plans to release a total of three seasons for the game. Speaking with GameSpot, lead writer Michael Vogt explained that the story is just beginning when season 1 wraps up.

"We wanted to do a really ambitious storyline that would span several seasons and also build this ensemble cast," he explained. "In the old games, the targets were always the most interesting characters, but then you'd just kill them off instantly and move on to the next one. And now we wanted to build a much bigger main cast that will survive for much longer," he went on to say.

Comparing the game to a movie, Vogt explained that season 1 is just the "first act." Similar to the flow of a feature film, the characters and stakes may be revealed earlier, but the story is "only getting started."

"Hitman" season 1 will be available to purchase on disc starting Tuesday, Jan. 31.
