'Homeland Season 4 Spoilers: Shocking Reveal By Quinn and Other Dramatic Moments From Episode 3 (Recap)
After Sandy's death, Quinn went to Langley to talk about his job and his desire to quit.
"I just want out. I'm done," he said.
When the company heard his appeal, they speculated that his feelings for Carrie might be the reason why he wanted to leave.
The CIA tried to reach out to him but they were unsuccessful. Finally, CIA agent Dar Adal, played by F. Murray Abraham, called Quinn's motel and told him the same thing other operatives said.
"We both know the real explanation for this. This isn't about PTSd, this is about your feelings for Carrie Mathison. If she hadn't been in that car Sandy Beckham would have been alive today," said Adal.
Even though Quinn denied this multiple times, the agency is convinced that Carrie is the main reason for Sandy's death.
"You took your eyes off Sandy to save Carrie. You left him to be beaten to death in the street!" Adal added, then Quinn got mad and tried to choke him.
"Well done, Peter," Adal said after Quinn released him. "I knew you weren't that far gone... Have a nice life."
Then, he made a shocking discovery.
After watching a YouTube video of Sandy's death, he discovered that the incident was not an accident at all and that it was a planned attack by the Pakistani intelligence.
"We never had a chance... in the car with Sandy. It was premeditated the whole thing from start to finish. There was a guy in a crowd with an earpiece coordinating the whole thing," Quinn said to Carrie.
After this discovery, Carrie and Quinn went on to investigate Sandy's death further.
"This changes everything. This means I really need you now," said Carrie. "I wouldn't ask you if there wasn't someone else here I could count on. Don't make me beg."
"You're the hardest person in the world to say no to," Quinn responded.
"God, I f—ing love you Quinn," Carrie said. "You know that, don't you?"
The next episode of "Homeland" will air on Oct. 19 on Showtime.
