The creators of "House of Cards" didn't get upset when 13 of the hit series' newest episodes from its third season were leaked on Netflix last week.

In fact, showrunner Beau Willimon revealed that he felt encouraged by how the unexpected release got fans more excited about the show's upcoming season, which will officially hit Netflix on Feb. 27.

"I thought it was great! I was actually very amused by the whole thing and then delighted to see what a huge response we got from fans," Willimon said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"So many people are excited about what's going to happen two weeks from now," he added.

The "House of Cards" creator said no harm done since fans were not able to learn everything in the 20 minutes that the entire Season 3 of the political drama was accidentally leaked on Neflix.

"We take great care, obviously, to keep as much of the story secret as possible and there's a little bit of the story that was let out, but there are still plenty of surprises ahead. Twenty minutes is not enough for people to have figured everything out," he said.

"There's plenty of speculation on the web in terms of what people gathered from watching those first 20 minutes or people who scrubbed ahead to subsequent episodes. And all I will say is some of that speculation is right and some of it is wrong," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Willimon explained that even though a few potential secrets might have been let loose, the core of the story and all the things that are going to happen still remain intact.

He also admitted that perhaps Netflix took a cue from Beyoncé, releasing the show early to give the fans a purposeful surprise.

"It would have made us look really cool and Underwoodian if we had orchestrated the whole thing. And who knows? Maybe we did, and we're pretending we didn't," Willimon said, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"But the truth, if you choose to believe it—look, streaming television shows on the Internet is a new thing, and every season we're figuring it out as we go. And this was one of the unexpected things that happens when you're doing something different," he added.
